We built a verification layer for money: cryptographic signatures, settlement finality, auditable state transitions. We have not yet built the equivalent for the statements that move armies and markets. A video leak should not be the most reliable evidence of a state's conduct, but in 2025, it often is.

The next decade will decide whether humanity builds a verification layer for state-to-state communication as rigorous as the one we built for value transfer. If we do not, headlines like this will continue to trade on unverified rumors, consensus will keep shifting on unaudited inputs, and the trust that blockchains proved possible in finance will remain a promising footnote, off-chain.

Hold the line. Build the verification layer. Build anyway, and do it before the next oracle fails. Code over hype.
